Ethos Group
I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
Currently our Ethos group have been working alongside our Worship workers with the RE lead, local church and Headteacher to develop the rewards system that is going to be used throughout school. They have been taking part in regular meetings, researching Biblical figures and relating these back the the Christian values of our school. They will be launching this to the rest of the school as well as working on some other projects this year. We look forward to sharing more with you as these projects launch.
Recycling initiative with Coveris
This half term we have begun a recycling initiative with a local plastic company called Coveris. We have met with Mr Dawkins and he delivered two large recycling bins and posters for us to share with the school. We have launched a recycling project and have asked our families to bring in soft plastics that we can recycle and take to the plant. Miss Caldwell and Mrs Tomlinson took our recycling to the plant and discovered more about how platsic is used in our local community and the benefits of our recycling. They recycled some of the plastics we had collected at the factory and this will be created into something new for us to share with school.
We have launched a competition across school, for the children to design a poster linked to the 10 reasons to recycle. The winning entries will be used on the companys recycling bins which is really exciting. Our recycling journey is currently being filmed, a storyboard will be created and we are going to record voiceovers of our journey, we cannot wait to see the final footage and share it with the school.
