Sports & Sports Premium
Sport Premium Grant has been used to deliver P.E. across school by specialist coaches. This provision also enables staff to have professional development in a variety of aspects of P.E. We have also used some of our Sport Premium to work with the Sports Partnership across Winsford schools. Our P.E. coordinator regularly liaises with the Sports Partnership within the Winsford Education Partnership (WEP), which has enabled us to provide training for our staff, participate in local school sports competitions and provide us with resources.
Swimming Achievement
During the 2023/2024 academic year our Year 5 and 6 pupils had the opportunity to develop their swimming skills by having a tailored programme delivered by specially trained instructors over an intense 3 week period. This was all provided by 'Pools to Schools' where a swimming pool was erected on site during the summer term. Due to its success this will happen annually. As the children move through the school they will continue to develop their swimming skills outside of the school environment and, as a result, our Year 6 pupils currently achieve the following standards:
