Who to contact

Who to Contact at Wharton CE Primary School: A Guide for Parents & Carers

We want to make sure your questions, concerns, and updates are handled as quickly and effectively as possible. Please use the guide below to reach the right team member.

1. Classroom & Learning Concerns

Your First Port of Call

For anything directly related to your child (e.g., daily routine, learning, friendship concerns, or quick updates):

• Quick Notes & Updates: Speak briefly to a member of the team on duty at the door in the morning or send an email directly to your child's class email account.

• Detailed Conversations: If you need to discuss something that requires a longer conversation, please make an appointment to see the class teacher. Mornings are very busy as staff welcome children so booking a dedicated meeting time ensures we can give you our full attention.

2. General Enquiries

School Office

For non-classroom queries, please contact the main school office:

• Attendance reporting & absence notifications – attendance@wharton.cheshire.sch.uk

• Lunch orders, payments, and school trips

• Contact detail updates and general school information

3. Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)

Class Teacher → SENDCo

• Initial Concerns: Always raise any new or initial concerns regarding learning support or developmental needs with your child's class teacher first.

• Ongoing SEND Matters: If your child already has an active support plan or ongoing involvement with our Special Educational Needs Coordinator, you may contact the SENDCo directly.

4. Family Support & Attendance

Specialist Support & Intervention

For all family-related matters that require extra support, guidance, or specialist intervention, as well as attendance queries, please contact our Family Support Worker and Attendance Champion:
